Wings has been hauled out this winter because she was due for a good overhaul. Also the marina has been dredged over the winter months as it was getting very shallow in parts. Dredging is a big deal and barges have been going out with tons of mud, A good time to be out of the way.
There are jobs to do before the boat is ready for the water. Working in a boat yard during the last part of the winter is not a glamorous part of ownership. Engine servicing, mast checking, hull cleaning and polishing are all biggish jobs. especially when you have three hulls to clean!
The mast is lifted up and stepped using a crane as its very heavy. Then the cleaning and dressing begins. About a day of jet washing is followed by a few days of fitting the sails and threading all the control ropes and trampolines in the correct places (hopefully).
